Xopus 4.1 Released
We've been working hard over the past few months, and especially the last few days to get it tested and ready. We've updated the documentation accordingly with all the new features that we've been adding and how to use them. The foremost feature is the node configuration, which now gives developers and implementers great control over elements.
The demo package now also contains a first version of a DITA demo (requires php to run). This demo shows many of the new features that we have implementen in Xopus 4. They include:
- Adding and removing buttons to the toolbar.
- UI improvements. You can configure the UI to focus authors on the right elements to insert.
- Placeholder text. Missing in Xopus 3, you can now configure a placeholder text for elements.
- Configuration for template content on element level. This allows you to configure child elements that should be inserted when a new element is inserted. This powerful feature is especially useful with schemas that are not very strict.
- DITA support features. We have always supported DITA, but with a few new features DITA is easier to edit, maintain and work with than even before. This includes catalog support, class attribute configuration, ignore mixed content, and our demo, which includes a good default configuration as well as XSL for topic, task, concept and reference.
- Furthermore the release includes lots of bugfixes and other small improvements.
You can find Xopus 4.1 on the download page. Release notes are available.
