So what’s so special about Xopus?

Our recent appearance on Ajaxian got me thinking. For some reason the vital acronym XML was left out of the post, advertising Xopus as a “browser based WYSIWYG editor” that can “paste rich content from applications like Microsoft Word”. As a result Xopus was discarded by many as yet another WYSIWYG editor of which we’ve seen so many since 1999.

I find this quite flattering. Apparently people can no longer tell the difference between a strictly validating XML editor and a plain HTML editor from the user interface alone! Since we target people that don’t want to know about those acronyms this may be a major milestone. We have managed to make XML editing completely transparent for the unsuspecting end user.

However, this does leave us with yet another challenge:  we strongly believe in selling the product using demos, but now that the differences, and thus the benefits of Xopus are not immediately apparent from just using it for a little while we may have to reside to other methods of promoting our product.

For now we will just stick with making impressive demos, like our new alpha FireFox demo. If you find it convincing, you can contact our sales staff: sales@xopus.com.
